The "Machine Shop Trade Secrets" Award
$250 CASH AWARD |

We are currently accepting user submissions for the website's 'Tips' section which would also qualify you for the $250. If you feel like you have a tip which would help the machinist community, please submit it along with an image to MSTS@proshoppublishing.com.
Submitted tip's should be no longer than 100 words, have a title and an image attached to the email. Helpful submissions will be added to the new 'Tips' section on the site and may be displayed as the "Featured Tip" on the homepage! You will be credited for your tip on the site. Award Finalists will be selected on a monthly basis and announced in our newsletter! The "Machine Shop Trade Secrets" Award will be given out on a bi-annual basis. User tips submitted to the site will be considered public domain. |

base of your lathe tailstock to make it slide easier. | |
On larger lathes, the tailstocks may be so heavy and cover so much surface area as to make them difficult to move. This airline modification feeds air between the tailstock and the ways breaking the seal and provides a cushion of air that allows the tailstock to move more freely. - Archie Hollingsworth |
